A cracking pen of second-cross lambs has cracked $300 at today’s sheep and lamb sale, setting a new record price for the Dubbo saleyards.
The pen of 81 second-cross Poll Dorset lambs were estimated to weigh 65 kilograms.
They were sold by Landmark Milling Thomas, on behalf of Daryl Dixon and family, Ashbank Poll Dorset stud, Dubbo.
Selling agent Peter Thomas said it was the first time he has ever sold lambs for that price.
