What a year 2021 has been!
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all the agents, vendors, buyers and guests of the Dubbo Regional Livestock Markets for your support throughout this year. Some parts of the year have been difficult to navigate due to many reasons, but we thank you for your patience and understanding during those times.
Let’s take a look back at a few of the highlights from the Dubbo saleyards over the past year.
- Our Store Cattle record price was broken twice! First in October for Angus cows and calves which sold for $4170/unit, then again a month later for another line of Angus cows and calves which sold for $4200/unit.
- Dubbo’s record price for sheep & lambs was also broken – reaching $360/hd for lambs, $460 for ewes and lambs and $700/hd for rams.
- We’ve seen historically high prices for fat cattle. Cows reached 400c/kg plus for the first time in the centre’s history.
- We welcomed new selling agents, Purtle Plevey Agencies Pty Ltd, to our group.
There were many more highs throughout the year, but far too many to list.
All the best to you and your families for the festive season and we wish you all the best for the coming year.
A reminder to all, that the first sale back in 2022 will be on Thursday January 6 for our fat cattle market. The first sheep sale for 2022 will be held on January 10.
