The lamb price record for the Dubbo saleyard has been broken for the sixth time in nine weeks.
A single bid knocked down a pen of second-cross Dorset lambs for $310/head at yesterday’s weekly sheep and lamb sale.
The lambs were sold by the team at Christie and Hood, Dubbo, on account of Brad and Emma Tink, “Keyho”, Dubbo.
The lambs were estimated to weigh more than 70 kilograms.

This pen of second-cross Dorset lambs has set the new sellin centre record for Dubbo saleyards, selling for $310/head at yesterday’s market.
Yesterday’s sale featured the smallest yarding so far for the year, with only 10,200 head yarded.
Despite the smaller yarding, most weights and grades sold at dearer levels.
Since June, the selling centre has consistently broken its own records.
