There was a small decrease in yarded numbers at today’s sheep sale, with 29,290 sold in comparison to last week’s total of almost 32,500.

Most categories saw small decreases in price compared to last week however there was good demand for heavy weight mutton which drove the price up as much as $20 per head for crossbreds.

The heavy weight Merinos sold up to $10/head more than last week.

There was good competition from restockers, who pushed pens of better types up by as much as $8 per head, selling for a top of $123/head for feeders and $145/head for hoggets.
