GENEROUS farmers have helped raise $10,390 for the McGrath Foundation at today’s weekly sheep and lamb sale at the Dubbo Regional Livestock Markets.

A number of lambs as well as prime lucerne hay was donated for the annual pink sheep charity auction.

Peter Cruickshank, Trangie auctioned the lambs at the start of today’s weekly sale, with buyers choosing to donate the lambs back and have them auctioned again numerous times.

One lamb was purchased for $2000 by Kylie Walsh from Sydney, who was touring the Central West on the Di Jones Drought Drive.

She also purchased most of the lucerne hay at auction to help out her farming family in Boggabri.

The auction, which is in it’s tenth year, has raised almost $100,000 in total and will help to continue to fund Dubbo’s two breast care nurses.
