It was a small yarding of only 550 at Dubbo’s store cattle sale on August 3, 2018.

Quality was good, with lines of cattle from “Wyangerie”, Quambone majorly supporting the sale.

Despite the better quality on offer, the market proved to be tough for selling agents.

Highlight’s of the sale include a line of PTIC Charolais heifers selling for $1000/head and a line of Santa Gertrudis cows with their four-month-old third calves at foot, selling for $1100/unit.

Weaner steers and heifers sold to $540 and $405/head, respectively.

The few grown steers offered on the day sold from $420 to $510/head.

Cows and calves sold from $250/unit while dry cows sold from $185 to $315/head.
