There was 4532 head yarded at yesterday’s prime cattle market.
Feeder steers, heifers and young restocker cattle were cheaper, by as much as 30c/kg and 15c/kg respectively.
Young cattle to the trade saw an improvement of up to 12c however.
Prime yearling steers sold from 261 to 328c/kg.
Properly finished cows were slightly dearer than last week’s sale, selling for up to 233c/kg.
Bulls sold to 245c/kg.
