Yesterday’s regular cattle sale was lacking grown steers, however there were better numbers of feeders and prime young cattle.
Young cattle to the trade sold to 305c/kg, finishing 8c dearer.
Feeder steers and heifers sold 7 to 10c dearer, making 240 to 330c and 240 to 280c for steers and heifers respectively.
Young cattle to the restockers were as much as 20c/kg dearer, making 168 to 296c and 118 to 240c for steers and heifers respectively.
Grown steers made up to 298c while grown heifers made up to 284c/kg.
The best of the cows sold for 234c.
Bulls sold to 252c/kg.
