Yarding: 8926
Despite last week’s excellent rains numbers lifted by 850. It was an excellent quality yarding with good numbers of well finished heavy weight lambs along with odd pens of neat trade weights.
There were limited numbers of lighter lambs to suit the restockers.
All the usual buyers were in attendance and operating.
Light weight lambs to the processors were $6 cheaper with the 12kg to 18kg 2 scores selling from $145 to $164/head.
Trade lambs were $6 to $8 cheaper with the 18kg to 23kg lambs selling from $176 to $238/head to average from 955c to 995c/kg cwt.
Heavy weight lambs were firm to $3 cheaper with the over 24kg 4 score lambs selling from $240 to $298/head. Merino lambs were $6 to $8 cheaper with the trade weights selling from $213 to $245/head. Limited numbers of lambs to the restockers were $10 cheaper selling from $131 to $150 while young merino lambs to the restockers sold from $109 to $135/head.
Hoggets sold to $240/head.
It was a mostly plain quality yarding of mutton where most grades were $5 to $8/head dearer.
Merino ewes to the processors sold from $134 to $219 while the crossbred ewes sold from $138 to $236/head. Merino wethers sold to $234/head.
The restockers were active on Merino ewes paying from $50 to $207/head.
