Lamb numbers increased and quality was good for the well finished supplementary fed trade and heavy weights.
There were mainly trades penned along with some heavy lambs and the plainer store grades were well supplied throughout.
All the buyers were operating and competition was solid particularly for the finished lambs and the quality restocking grades resulting in a dearer market.
Lights lambs to the processors were $5 to $10 dearer and averaged $148, while quality store lambs averaged $120/head. Medium and heavy trade weight lambs were $2/head dearer and averaged 800c/kg cwt.
Most of the 22 to 23kg heavy trade weights sold from $180 to $195/head.
Heavy weight lambs were $6 to $7/head dearer and averaged from 780c to 805c/kg cwt with plenty of pens of extra heavy weight lambs selling from $211 to $237 and topped at $266/head.
Mutton numbers increased and quality was mixed throughout and prices lifted $5 to $20/head.
Medium Merino ewes averaged $158/head or 615c/kg cwt.
