Yarding: 2740
It was a good quality yarding with a pretty good selection of trade cattle along with some good runs of well finished grown steers and heifers.
There was a fair selection of feeder cattle and large numbers of cows. Most of the regular buyers were in attendance and operating.
Young cattle to the trade were 7c to 10c cheaper with prime vealers selling to 410c/kg. The prime steer yearlings sold from 385c to 410c while the prime heifer yearlings sold to 406c/kg. Feeder steers and heifers were 8c to 12c dearer with the feeder steers selling from 362c to 426c while the feeder heifers sold from 356c to 409c/kg.
Limited numbers of young cattle to suit the restockers were a little cheaper with the young steers selling from 418c to 480c while the young restocker heifers sold from 399c to 450c/kg.
Prime grown steers and heifers were 10c to 15c cheaper with the steers selling from 330c to 388c while the grown heifers sold from 310c to 390c/kg. There was fair support from the restockers on some good lines of well bred grown heifers with the restockers paying from 300c to 356c/kg for heifers to breed on with.
Cows were 13c cheaper with the 2 and 3 scores selling from 244c to 294c/kg. The prime heavy weight cows sold from 287c to 314c to average 302c/kg. Bulls sold to 325c/kg.
