Yarding: 2370
It was a much better quality yarding with good numbers of well finished trade cattle along with some good pens of ideal feeders. There was also a good selection of grown steers grown heifers and cows.
A full field of buyers were in attendance along with the return of a supermarket buyer and the addition of some extra southern buyers.
Young cattle to the trade were 5c dearer with prime vealers selling to 440c/kg.
Prime steer yearlings sold from 378c to 434c while prime heifer yearlings sold from 388c to 424c/kg.
Feeder steers and heifers were firm. Feeder steers sold from 375c to 429c while the feeder heifers sold from 354c to 404c/kg.
Young cattle to the restockers continue to sell well with the young steers selling from 389c to 540c, while the young
restocker heifers sold from 388c to 482c/kg.
Prime grown steers and heifers were 10c dearer with the steers selling from 310c to 385c while the grown heifers sold from 308c to 394c/kg.
Cows were 2c to 3c cheaper with the light and medium weights selling from 255c to 288c to the processors and 295c/kg to the restockers.
Prime heavy weight cows sold from 285c to 317c to average 300c/kg. Bulls sold to 334c/kg.
