Carter Lindsay and Weber sold this run of 47 cows, weighing an average of 617kg, for 263c/kg on behalf of a Coolah vendor.

Big numbers of cows were offered at Thursday’s prime cattle sale. They were met with good competition, pushing prices up 17 to 20c/kg for the better finished pens.
Plain cows sold from 123c/kg to 197c/kg while the better types made up to 263c/kg.

Prices were up across the board, reaching 325c/kg for prime steer yearlings and 323c/kg for the top heifer offering.
Feeder steers sold from 252c/kg to 324c/kg while the feeder heifers made from 230c/kg to 291c/kg.

Restocked cattle were as much as 13c/kg dearer, selling to a top of 292c/kg and 255c/kg for steers and heifers respectively.

Bulls sold to 226c/kg.
