Yesterday’s prime cattle sale had 5375 head yarded, up more than 1500 head on last week’s sale.
Most categories sold to a cheaper trend, decreasing as much as 25c/kg for some.
Young cattle to the trade sold from 280 to 300c/kg for yearling steers while yearling heifers sold from 230 to 286c/kg.
Feeder steers were 12c/kg dearer for heavier weights, selling to 316c/kg while heifers sold to 255c/kg.
Cows sold to a top of 234c/kg.
Bulls sold to 235c/kg
