The rain event had an effect on numbers at last week’s store cattle sale where 434 head were yarded.
The yarding was dominated by weaner cattle, with few pens of yearlings or cows.
Steers sold to excellent competition, with weaners topping at $820 and yearlings peaking at $1010 for a pen of Angus steers.
Heifers sold to a top of $595/hd.
The best of the cows made $800.
