The DSSA will be hosting a Spring Fling Charity Ball in support of local project, Macquarie Homestay.

The date is set for Saturday, September 28. The event will be held at the Dubbo RSL.

The Macquarie Homestay provides affordable accommodation for patients and their families, who are transported to Dubbo for medical treatment.

The facility opened in early 2019 and has supported patients and families from across NSW and further afield.

Funds raised from the Charity Ball will go to stage two of the project, which aims to build another 14 rooms at the facility.

Unfortunately, many people we know in Central and Western NSW will be admitted to Dubbo hospital at some point in their lives. This facility was built to reduce the burden on regional and remote communities who will need to travel to access health care services.

Fundraising opportunities will be held in the lead up to the event, including raffles and a 100 club competition currently being run in the DSSA office.

If you or someone you know wishes to support this event, please get in contact with our office.

Further details on where you can buy tickets will be available soon. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for further details as well.
