Lamb numbers were back and the quality was good.
Trade and heavy lambs were well supplied and there were fewer light weights which were keenly sought after by both restockers and processors.
Merino lambs were very limited and the market sold to a similar trend.The 2 score processing lambs were again very solid and sold up to $170/head.
Restockers paid to $177/head for light lambs. Medium and heavy trade weights to 24kg mainly sold from $175 to $195/head averaging around 840c/kg cwt.
Heavy and extra heavy lambs were very close to firm on a larger run of lambs and mainly sold from $195 to $239/head or 780c to 830c/kg cwt.
Hoggets topped at $193/head.
There was not much movement in sheep prices but numbers nearly dropped by a third.
Most of the medium weight sheep sold from $130 to$170/head.
Heavy crossbred ewes reached $233/head. Merino ewes topped at $192/head.
